Within our first few sessions we will take the time to explore your unique experience, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and what you would like to accomplish during our work together. We will discuss how anxiety and/or perfectionism is showing up in your life and help you develop a new relationship to these problems. Our sessions will equip you with the tools you need to confidently move through your life and tackle daily stress and worry. This means that I will work to gently challenge problem narratives keeping you stuck so you can live the life you envisioned.

How long you are in therapy really depends on your needs and what you are trying to accomplish. I have found that patterns that have existed for a longer period take a bit longer to address. This is because these patterns and thoughts are intertwined in different areas of your life. As a result, more recent, isolated patterns are more quickly addressed and mastered. Whether you are dealing with problems rooted in the past or more recent problems, my goal is to help you feel confident in your skills and abilities.
