Therapy for Therapists & Helping Professionals
In California, Georgia, & Florida
Therapy for therapists, nurses, and medical professionals to help them balance their role as a healer and helper with their own wellbeing.
You are a woman who has built her life and career around caring for others, but have you struggled to find time to care for yourself in the process?
Maybe you are the pillar of strength and support for your friends and family. You are that listening ear and that voice of reason in conflict. You have been labeled the “dependable one” because you always come through no matter what. You care deeply for those you love- you genuinely want what’s best for them and the people in your life can deeply sense that.
You love being able to help others, but you have realized that it often comes at your own expense:
You struggle to create and maintain boundaries because when you do it creates uncomfortable levels of conflict.
Even though you are giving all that you can, you feel that it is never enough.
You struggle to slow down and take breaks because your mind is focused on what you “should” be doing.
You are always tired- mentally, emotionally, and physically- because you keep pouring from an empty cup.
Although you have been called to do this work, you know that continuing in this way is unsustainable. You have realized your personal life is impacting your professional life because you have struggled to heal the hurt caused by your loved ones.
You struggle to focus on your work and you are noticing with each passing day you are feeling more unfilled. You struggle to “practice what you preach” because you don’t have the time or energy. You feel as though there are not enough hours in a day to balance all your responsibilities and still have time left for you.
You don’t have to continue putting yourself on the back burner. You can balance caring for yourself and others.
Therapy for helping professionals can help you:
Identify and address the struggles from your upbringing and explore how they are impacting your current life, relationships, and work.
Increase your confidence in your ability to identify your needs and address them.
Create balance in your professional and personal life so you don’t burn out.
Make space for yourself without feeling guilty.
Live more authentically and understand who you are outside of being a helper or healer.
I understand the toll that being a healer or helper can have on your mind, body, and spirit if things are not balanced and you don’t have the support you need. Therapy can be a space where you can learn to step into the role of being cared for and give yourself the space to explore what you need. I have found that with my own therapy this has allowed me to tune into those parts of myself that need to be nurtured and step into my power.
I will help you explore how your life outside of work is impacting the work you do so you can be an effective healer or helper long-term. You deserve to be well mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. If you want to care for others long-term, you need to care for yourself today, tomorrow, and beyond. I can help you dig deep and consider how guilt is keeping you from building a life you love as you care for others.

Our time together is about me being able to hold space for you. There are so many places and spaces in your life that don’t allow you to just be you or be vulnerable and acknowledge that you don’t have all the answers.
In a more practical sense, within our first few sessions we will take the time to explore your unique experience, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and what you would like to accomplish during our work together. We will discuss the things that have impacted you, known and unknown, and help you gain a new understanding of those things. Our sessions will equip you with the tools you need to confidently move through your life and tackle the problems that life brings. This means that I will work to gently challenge problem narratives keeping you stuck so you can live the life you envisioned.

How long you are in therapy really depends on your needs and what you are trying to accomplish. I have found that patterns that have existed for a longer period take a bit longer to address. This is because it is not just the one experience we are addressing, but also the other experiences that are connected to it. As a result, more recent isolated problems are more quickly addressed and mastered. Whether you are dealing with problems rooted in the past or more recent problems, my goal is to help you feel confident in your skills and abilities.
