Trauma therapy to help women rewrite the struggles of the past, break the chains of generational trauma, and embrace their joy for the future.
You are more than what has happened to you.
You may feel as though things will never be the same again. You have been running from what you have been through, but now you are tired of running because it hasn’t changed anything. You find it hard to enjoy the things you love the most because your mind is constantly racing. You struggle to trust others because you were raised in an environment of secrecy. You have realized that you are just surviving instead of thriving.
Do you wish that you could just close that painful chapter, but instead…
…You can’t escape what happened even when you sleep because the nightmares bring you back to the reality of what happened.
…You’re angry about what happened because you should have been protected by those with the responsibility to care for you.
…You struggle to be supported by your friends and family because they make you feel like you are “too much” to handle and that makes it hard to open up to them.
…You don’t open up in relationships because it is easier to keep yourself safe that way. If people don’t truly know you then they cannot hurt you.
…You struggle to relax because you don’t trust yourself to make the right decisions or keep yourself safe.
Online trauma therapy can help you put those experiences to rest so you can feel lighter and focus on what really matters in your life.

Trauma therapy is about trusting me to create a safe place to help you heal. Relational trauma did not happen in isolation and your healing shouldn’t either. I will help you explore your story while teaching you proven skills to help you manage and cope with what happened. I will be with you every step of the way to help you learn to leave the past behind.
Even though it is hard, I will sit with you and help you explore the emotions you are dealing with. I will encourage you to take your time and not rush the process because it is as much about the destination as the journey. I know that you are ready to be past what happened and don’t worry, you will get there.
Our sessions will encourage you to challenge long standing patterns and assumptions so the effects of the trauma can be identified and overcome. I will celebrate with you in your progress towards becoming a woman free from the chains of the past.
Frequently Asked Questions

We will take things slowly and I will get an understanding of what has brought you to therapy without going too deeply into the trauma within the first few sessions. This is because we need to pace the work.
My goal is to create a safe space where you can begin to explore what you have experienced in a healing way. I will teach you grounding and coping skills that you can utilize in and between sessions to help you manage the discomfort that comes with talking about trauma memories. We will work to safely explore the impact of the trauma on your mind, body, and spirit.
Most importantly, we will move at a pace that is right for you and I will be checking to make sure that you are honoring what is right for you throughout the process. As a result, we will collaborate about your needs and the direction of the therapy so you can regain power and authority over your life.

How long you are in therapy depends on your needs and what you are trying to accomplish. I have found that relational trauma that occurred in childhood or adolescence tends to take a bit longer to address because often it is not just one event, but multiple events that need to be addressed. Events that happened in adulthood that are unattached to other instances of trauma tend to be easier to address. Either way healing is possible. I have found that trauma therapy tends to be more effective starting with weekly sessions. This allows us to get to know each other, build trust, and begin healing those wounds.
